Frequently Asked Questions

Shop Updates

Because I individually handcraft each piece, items are released on a collection basis- aiming for once every couple of months (but sometimes less, being on the road does that to ya!). I give plenty of notice on my Instagram page @thenomadicpine as well as sneak peeks and previews leading up to the release.

Email subscribers get early access to pretty much every collection, allowing you plenty of time to shop before the general public. I recommend adding yourself to the mailing list, found on the website homepage, to benefit from this. I cannot place holds on collection items. Pieces tend to go fast so I recommend being on your desired collection page (example 'rings' page) a few minutes ahead of time and refreshing until the items go live.

All handcrafted goodies in the shop update will be previewed in my Instagram story aiming for at least 12- 24 hours before the release. Sign up for my email list to receive all the deets!

How often do you ship items?

Please note shipping times may vary as I am currently located in Australia. I try to ship all items (excluding made to order items) out at least twice a week depending on where I'm at and how close to a post office I am.

Made to Order Items

If an item is stated as 'Made to Order' it means it will be finished in your desired size or preference. Because the item is technically "unfinished" when you order it, it will require at least 2-3 weeks to come to life, although they are often finished sooner. But fear not you will receive tracking upon shipment (if tracking was purchased).

How to find your ring size?

The most accurate way to do this is to pop into your local jeweller who will size you for free. If that option is not available to you can send me a DM and we can chat about other ways!

Materials

I currently work with .925 sterling silver with the occasional brass or copper accents. I am also expanding into gold fill and 14k solid gold pieces. I make efforts to source sustainable and eco-friendly materials as well as supporting small, family owned lapidary artists for your high quality stones.

Jewelry Care

Although handmade items usually last for generations, some of the stones used in my creations can be fragile so it is advised to take them off before entering water, engaging in intense physical activity or other adventures you might find yourself on. If you ever find your jewelry start to tarnish over time you can polish it with a polishing pad/ cloth. If your jewelry has patina (a black tint purposely added to bring out depth and details) be sure to not polish those areas because it will polish away the patina.

Cuff Bracelet Care

To prolong the life of your cuff bracelets, be sure you are taking them on and off correctly. Bending each time can cause the metal to weaken and eventually break. Please see the link below for a detailed tutorial.

Custom work

I open custom work periodically when I feel I can accommodate the demand. For the latest custom info it is best to either check my IG bio where (if they are open) it will be listed or sign up for my email list. I will send an email out when custom slots open.

Do you accept returns or exchanges?

I do not currently accept returns or exchanges as I do not have a permanent residence to mail to. Please make sure you know your sizing before ordering. If you are confused on sizing do not hesitate to send me a DM on Instagram or an email at thenomadicpine@gmail.com

Jewelry repairs

Please do not hesitate to contact me if something happens and your jewelry breaks! Although this is an unlikely event, I want to make sure you can continue wearing your special piece daily.

Send me an email to thenomadicpine@gmail.com to see if your item is repairable. In some cases I will request you to pay shipping back and I will fix the item free of charge and send it back to you. In some cases, where a repair is needed that is customer inflicted, a repair charge may be required. I do not repair jewelry created by other makers.
